EU Product Safety (GPSR)

Libidai is committed to product safety, traceability, and responsible online selling in the European Union.

This page explains how Libidai approaches consumer product safety for products offered to customers in the EU under the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (“GPSR”).

1. Our commitment

We do not offer products for sale into the EU unless we believe they can be supplied in line with applicable product safety rules, including:

  • safe design and intended use requirements
  • traceability and product identification
  • clear safety information and instructions
  • customer complaint and incident handling
  • corrective action, withdrawal, replacement, refund, or recall procedures where necessary
  • cooperation with authorities and market operators as required by law

Where a product falls under additional EU legislation because of its electrical, battery, radio, or other characteristics, we also work to align with those rules as applicable.

2. Responsible economic operator in the EU

For products made available to consumers in the EU, Libidai will identify the required responsible economic operator established in the EU.

EU Responsible Economic Operator
Name: [EU Responsible Economic Operator Name]
Address: [EU Responsible Economic Operator Address]
Email: [gpsr@libidai.com or dedicated EU safety contact]
Phone: [insert if used]

Where required, the responsible economic operator’s identifying details will also appear on the product, packaging, parcel, or accompanying documentation as permitted by law.

3. Manufacturer and contact details

Manufacturer / brand owner
Name: [Legal Entity Name]
Trading name: Libidai
Address: [Company Address]
Email: [support@libidai.com]
Product safety contact: [gpsr@libidai.com]

Customers, authorities, and market operators may use these contacts for product safety matters.

4. Product identification and traceability

To support product traceability, Libidai aims to ensure that products offered into the EU can be linked to identifying information such as:

  • product name
  • model or SKU
  • batch number
  • serial number, where applicable
  • packaging identification
  • instruction leaflet or safety insert
  • internal order and shipment records

Customers should keep proof of purchase, packaging, and identifying labels where possible, especially if they need support, warranty service, or safety follow-up.

5. Safety information for customers

Before using a product, customers should:

  • read all product instructions and safety warnings
  • use the product only for its intended purpose
  • keep products and accessories away from children and pets
  • stop use immediately if pain, irritation, overheating, unusual odor, leakage, swelling, or other unexpected behavior occurs
  • follow cleaning, storage, and charging instructions
  • use only compatible charging accessories and power inputs if the product requires charging
  • store the product in a dry and appropriate environment
  • not use a damaged product

If a product includes an electrical component, battery, or connected-device feature, the customer should also follow any charging, firmware, app, compatibility, or moisture-exposure instructions that apply to that model.

6. Online product information

Where required under EU law and where technically applicable to the product and sales channel, Libidai aims to make the following information available in the online offer or supporting material:

  • product identity
  • manufacturer or responsible operator identification
  • warnings or safety information relevant to the product
  • instructions or directions for safe use
  • traceability identifiers where applicable
  • contact method for support or safety concerns

Some details may also be included on packaging, inserts, manuals, or digital documentation supplied with the product.

7. Reporting a safety issue or incident

If a customer believes that a Libidai product may be unsafe, defective in a way that creates a safety risk, or has caused an accident or near miss, they should contact us immediately.

Product safety contact: [gpsr@libidai.com]
Customer support: [support@libidai.com]

Please include, where possible:

  • customer name
  • order number
  • product name
  • model, batch, or serial number
  • date of purchase
  • country of delivery
  • description of the issue
  • photos or video if safe to provide
  • whether any injury, overheating, leakage, smoke, or property damage occurred

If there is an immediate safety risk, customers should stop using the product and disconnect it from power if safe to do so.

8. Corrective actions, withdrawal, and recall

If Libidai determines that a product presents a safety risk, we may take corrective action, including:

  • updating instructions or warnings
  • notifying affected customers
  • suspending or removing listings
  • stopping shipment
  • offering repair, replacement, or refund where appropriate
  • arranging product withdrawal or recall
  • notifying authorities and market operators as required by law

Customers agree to cooperate with reasonable corrective action or recall instructions.

9. Consumer remedies for unsafe products

Where a product is found to be unsafe or otherwise not compliant, available remedies may include, depending on the circumstances and applicable law:

  • repair
  • replacement
  • refund
  • withdrawal from use
  • return instructions
  • other corrective action required by law

Nothing on this page limits mandatory consumer remedies under applicable law.

10. Safety Gate and regulatory cooperation

Where required, Libidai and/or the relevant economic operator will cooperate with authorities and use applicable EU reporting channels for dangerous products or accidents.

Where a reportable safety issue arises, this may involve communication through tools and systems such as the Safety Gate / Safety Business Gateway framework or through the relevant national authorities.

11. Customer responsibilities

Customers also play an important role in product safety. Customers should:

  • purchase only through official or authorized channels
  • read and keep the instructions
  • follow intended-use guidance
  • keep proof of purchase and product identifiers where possible
  • stop use if an issue appears
  • report safety concerns promptly

Misuse, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow instructions can create avoidable risks and may affect warranty coverage, though not mandatory legal rights.

12. Children and vulnerable users

Libidai products are intended for adults only. Products should be stored out of reach of children and should not be used by anyone who is not legally permitted or is unable to use them safely and responsibly.
